5Awesome TV!
By David B. Mitchell
Arrived 1st week of June 2012. This TV is HUGE compared to most others I considered. I was worried it might not be bright enough during the day but... YES IT IS!!!Color saturation is also much better than most LCD/LED TVs. Richer colors. Not completely flat - but close enough. Plus the price is much much lower than any flat screen this size (if you can find a flat screen this size, that is). Only Sharp (I believe) makes a flat screen near this big but you can see the individual pixels on that. I know because I checked at Best Buy. Once you get past 55" DLP is the only way to go.The built in speakers aren't so good, as I expected. For watching movies you'll want a sound bar and sub woofer. Or hook it up to your old stereo via a D to A converter box. Oh, well, nothing is perfect. But this is close.

3Beware bad quality control at mitsu
By Some internet guy
I got a great deal on this TV locally. Was very excited to have it home. Great bright picture with better blacks than my LCD (obviously not plasma level). Lots of silk screen effect, but I was willing to deal with it.But I immediately noticed the picture had a heavy bow to it. The geometry was way off. No, not normal RPTV bowing, but like two inches of obvious pin cushion effect.Local store was willing to exchange, but couldn't because Mitsu is no longer making these TV's so they don't/won't have any more in stock.I decided to let a mitsu tech come out and adjust the geometry. Can't hurt since I'm still inside my return window with local store.Tech is a local company. They come out, adjust settings in service menu, but it doesn't fix the problem. He calls the mitsu tech line and mitsu states, "that is normal for these TV's and it'll be more pronounced on a TV of that size". No matter the amount of arguing (the tech OWNS a 2011 73 inch mitsu TV!!!) that this was not the normal tiny amount of bowing, mitsu refused to do more.SERIOUS QC and Customer service issues here. Don't buy this even on clearance, as there isn't a good way to solve issues if you grab a lemon.Go get a 60inch plasma or LED and move your couch closer. The 73inch DLP has too many faults that compete against the glorious size.

5AMAZING COLOR AND CONTRAST THAT LCD/LED TVs CAN'T MATCH!
By Casey
All TV technologies have their drawbacks. Plasmas give you great contrast and accurate blacks, but have issues with burn-in, are extremely power hungry, and radiate tons of heat into your living space. LCDs (and LED LCDs) are thin and power efficient, but lack in contrast, producing a dull grey instead of a pure black in dark scenes. They also have issues with fast motion scenes, relying on frame super-sampling and other visual tricks to try and make up for it.Once you get over the fact that DLP sets aren't thin and easily wall mountable, everything else about these Mitsubishi TVs is amazing. They produce STUNNING color, it will really blow you away with how vibrant and lifelike everything looks. The contrast and black levels will rival even the best plasma sets, like the Pioneer Kuro. Fast motion scenes look look clear and brilliantly smooth. The Plush 1080P upscaling chip does a really good job of upresing any lower resolution sources you plug in.They are also using a matte screen now on the 42 and C12 series, so even in a brightly lit room there are few reflection issues and you get an excellent viewing angle. If you're looking for the best bang for your TV budget buck, this is it. It gives anyone who spent 3-5x more for an LCD panel of the same size one heck of a run for their money!
